Curious how many wheel chair designated seats are at LBHS? Are guests sitting on field in chairs or in the stadium? Is everyone parking in neighborhood or district lot then walking over? Seems like parking could be an issue. Would be great to get more details.

Unfortunately this is a result of board members Morgan, Hills and Perry who reused to listen to constituent pleas to delay a decision in order to perform their due diligence as our district legislative body representatives. I believe a court review and reprimand is on order if they have overstepped their authority.

It would be interesting to know how much the District has already spent on another preventable and pointless lawsuit against National Church Residences, which owns and operates Vista Aliso, the site of the old South Laguna school where 70+ very low-income seniors live.

Howard certainly loves to bring that particular lawsuit up a lot as the reason for increasing legal fees! Hopefully, we can receive a detailed breakdown of the district's legal fees for FY26 soon.

Jim Kelly made a motion to table the decision until next year so that a closer examination could be implemented; yet, the board majority dismissed--once again--the wisdom of a career educator and professional, along with Dr. Malczewski, who more than understand the complexities of these decisions.

Erika, everything you said is right on. The decision was made on the fly without any due diligence. There were so many questions that could not be answered when the board majority (Morgan, Perry, and Hills) voted to move the venue. Students voted to keep it at Guyer, the superintendent said it is a site decision, the Principals stated it should stay at Guyer, and many public comments suggested at least waiting a year to prepare and research before moving the venue. All of these recommendations fell on deaf ears, and now we are in yet another mess. The board majority went out of their lane and crashed the car AGAIN! Time to take their power away! Everyone needs to vote in November for Joan, Shaheen, and Kimberly!
